These are the manufacturer's published values. The same hardware is sold under several brand names — if your unit shows a different sticker, the protocol and command set are still identical. Also known as: G202, G202 PLUS, CY305, CN G202.

First-time setup checklist

Before sending any SMS commands, work through this list. Skipping a step accounts for most of the support emails I receive.

  1. Insert a working SIM card into a regular phone. Confirm voice and SMS work. Disable the SIM PIN.
  2. Insert the SIM into the G202 PLUS. Connect DC 9-36V.
  3. Wait for the signal LED to blink slowly (network registered). This takes 30-90 seconds on first power-up.
  4. From an authorized phone, send the change-password command to replace the default 1234 with your own.
  5. Add yourself as the first authorized user. Confirm by calling the SIM number — the gate should pulse.
  6. Wire the relay output to your gate motor's trigger input (typically labelled "ON", "MAN", "OPEN").

Add admin user (auto-assign slot)

Add admin user with auto-assigned slot ID

Syntax: {pwd}#TEL{phone}#DEF#
Example: 1234#TEL+31612345678#DEF#

Add admin user (specific slot)

Add admin user with specific slot ID (001-999)

Syntax: {pwd}#TEL{phone}#{userID}#
Example: 1234#TEL+31612345678#001#

Add normal user (auto-assign, G203 only)

Add normal user (can only call to open, cannot manage users)

Syntax: {pwd}#NORTEL{phone}#DEF#

Add normal user (specific slot, G203 only)

Add normal user with specific slot ID

Delete user by slot

Remove user by slot ID. Super admin cannot be deleted.

Delete user by phone

Remove user by phone number

Query user by slot

Check which phone number is in a slot

Syntax: {pwd}#TEL{userID}?
Example: 1234#TEL001?

Query user by phone

Check if a phone number is authorized

Syntax: {pwd}#QRYTEL{phone}?
Example: 1234#QRYTEL+31612345678?

Query all users

List all authorized users with roles

Syntax: {pwd}#TELALL?
Example: 1234#TELALL?

Relay ON (pulse)

Turn relay on for the configured delay time

Syntax: {pwd}#ON#
Example: 1234#ON#

Troubleshooting

If a command returns Error password, double-check that you are sending the command from an authorized phone using exactly the syntax above. The Callny firmware is strict about case, spacing, and the # delimiters. Common causes:

  • Sending from a number that is not on the authorized list (call the gate first to test).
  • Old password still cached after a factory reset. The post-reset default reverts to 1234.
  • Lowercase command keywords. Callny commands accept lowercase, but spacing matters.
  • Extra spaces or autocorrect inserted by your phone keyboard. Disable predictive text for the gate's SIM number.
